Mission Statement

Sound of Sakia’s mission is to enrich the cultural scene in Egypt by expanding the reach of El Sawy Culturewheel’s stage for local artists, workshops and speakers through high quality cultural programming online to be assessable to a broader audience in Egypt and abroad.

Vision

Sound of Sakia Online Radio is meant to become the virtual space for El Sawy Culturewheel which can be attainable throughout the day and wherever you may be.
El Sawy Culturewheel is always expanding by offering new means of communication for the local talents; therefore, it has established the Sound of Sakia Online Radio to serve this purpose, reach a broader audience and be heard worldwide.

Who We Are

Sound of Sakia Online Radio is a newly generated project by El Sawy Culturewheel. The project is run and managed by young Egyptian talents who volunteer and contribute to the success of the radio station, all sharing the same vision, working towards the same goal and believing in the same objectives.
The team members vary from online experts, Egyptian local artists to mass communication graduates, and anyone who can support the radio project by any means. Everyone is working either through volunteering, consulting, freelancing or full time.

Our Approach

Act as a two way road in the relation to listeners. Sound of Sakia is there to absorb, process and reflect the communities’ cultural views, hopes and intended changes. Our approach is very dynamic, creative, young, optimistic and free of complexities.

Our Objectives

• Place Egyptian culture on the world map,
• Integrate culture in people’s life and make it available at fingertips,
• Offer new means of media to portray cultural life in Egypt,
• Act as a mediator between local talents and a broader audience, as well as act as a bridge between different cultures,
• Be a multilingual radio with many channels to reflect our versatile culture,
• Discuss and present a variety of different topics in a new manner.
