Biography:
The idea of forming the band came to Khaled El Gabry (lead guitar) and Beno (classic guitar) as both amateur musicians started grouping other amateur musicians to join in. So Omar (bass guitar) joined in, then Mohamed Kamel (vocal) was added to taxi, then Adham (drums) and Essam (percussion) came to complete the band in its actual form...
Taxi is a band of amateur musicians that presents an unusual kind of music, trying to connect the audience with a music free of difficult restraining techniques and full of musical sense in a hope to deliver a music that's not only enjoyable to the ear but to the mind too by choosing meaningful lyrics that are mostly written by Mohamed Tawfik.
As for the name Taxi, a Taxi was the "place" where Beeno and Khaled first met as the two of them were headed to Sakia to take their first guitar lesson 3 years ago, and that very same day they first met Omar also, but what they never expected was that one day, they'd be all playing in the same band.
